We spent the day in the Vatican starting with the Museums and Sistine Chapel. Luckily we had reserved online, which let us walk right in. Otherwise the line was a half mile long to get in. Then we went in St. Peter's, where the line luckily turned out to be short. I'll let Sheila describe the day's experiences in a post.
This evening we participated in vespers with the priests where we're staying, and Sheila got to see (and actually take part in) a part of my past life. I hope that now she doesn't want to become a nun.
Tomorrow we leave for Florence. We're looking forward to the train ride (ie sitting, not walking). Also we'll be living near the center of the city so we won't have the "commute" back and forth every day, and it's smaller than Rome. I hope we can relax more. We've had some very full days so far.
